From Down Under to Guangdong: Kohle Capital Markets brings Cantonese Flavours to Australia

The event aimed to introduce Cantonese cuisine and culture to people from other regions and cultures through fun and interactive games. Attendees were treated to a delightful spread of classic Cantonese dishes, including dim sum, roast meat, and desserts and left the event as Canton gourmet experts!

The event drew many students from the Department of Finance and Economics who were in for a special treat. Jason, the Managing Director of KCM Australia, shared his experience being an overseas student of the University of Melbourne with the attendees, encouraging them to enjoy the academic life and enhancing their future employment opportunities.

Jason Lau, the Managing Director of KCM Trade Australia, boasts a wealth of experience in the banking and finance industry in the Asia-Pacific region, spanning over 15 years. He has held significant roles in Compliance, Product Management, Relationship Management, and Senior Executive positions for several financial institutions, including Societe Generale, Citibank, BOCI, IG Markets, and CLSA Premium, among others. Jason obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Hong Kong and an MBA jointly awarded by the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Tsinghua University. In 2017, he further enriched his knowledge by obtaining an LLM specializing in banking and finance law from the University of Melbourne. His exceptional achievements in the industry earned him an invitation to be a guest speaker on trading at Hong Kong Student Association, Monash University.

The event was a resounding success, with participants eagerly asking questions and learning more about career development after graduation.
